About
Peter Rogine is a world class musician, educator and performer who has gained prominence because of the extraordinary instructional insights he has with students. This includes both group classes and individual lessons. As a college professor at Five Towns College (Dix Hills, NY) his students have become teachers, performers and recording artists around the world. Many former students apply his techniques in their professional work and this has enabled them to become successful in their own right. Peter Rogine’s students are influential throughout the entire spectrum of the entertainment industry.
Peter earned a B.A. in music from Queens College in Flushing, N.Y. and an M.A. in composition from Long Island University N.Y. He is a certified NYS music teacher and has been regularly featured at “The Classic American Guitar Show”.
Over the years Peter Rogine has consistently performed for Broadway Shows, jazz clubs and in concert settings. He was a former host for a year and a half of the “Cablevision Guitar Extra Help Show” — a live to air broadcast. Peter’s popular how to column “Guitar Artistry” appears in the International publication “Just Jazz Guitar”. He continues to give private lessons and conducts on going classes and workshops on jazz guitar, study skills, focusing and artistic performance.
